History
April 3, 1978, former president Ferdinand E. Marcos declared that Pilar Village Subdivision in Barangay Almanza in the Municipality of Las Pinas, Metro Manila was detached and separated therefore Pilar was formed and constituted into a distinct and independent barangay which was created to be known as Barangay Pilar Village without having affect in any manner the legal existence of its mother barangay.
